InfoSec20 – 20 years of our InfoSec Division

EURO ONE’s InfoSec division celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Within EURO ONE, we have been working on security solutions since 2008, but the knowledge we have brought into the company dates back several years earlier.
The history of EURO ONE Számítástechnikai Zrt. dates back to the early 2000s, when it was founded as a subsidiary of the Bravogroup specializing in IT devices and services. Our leadership recognised from the beginning that commercial knowledge, alongside strong integration skills, was essential to successfully enter the market and remain competitive.
To this end, we established partnerships with leading manufacturers, working closely with them to develop a highly skilled professional team.

Our professional portfolio was constantly expanding until around 2008, when the need to build a networked portfolio emerged.

Our goal was to ensure that all our divisions would continue to respond effectively to market demands and trends in the future.

Péter Sajó, our Head of Business Development and Sales, started his career with network integration in a small Hungarian company. Based on the experience gained there, he began focusing on business development. Initially, he dealt with network security and later delved deeper into cyber security. In 2003 he met Balázs Imre, with whom he worked together at a small company, which later merged into a multinational corporation which opened up the opportunity to acquire deep knowledge in IT system integration and later in IT security. By 2007-2008 they felt that the existing framework was too limiting for them and wanted to continue their activities in a new form, which led to their successful collaboration with EURO ONE and the foundation of the new and separate InfoSec division in 2008.

The joint efforts quickly brought the expected success and the new division started to develop rapidly. The initial team of seven has grown significantly and now includes more than 50 experts and several internal competence centres. EURO ONE has become an unmissable player in the Hungarian IT security and network integration market.

Rapid adaptation to technological changes, being a pioneer has always played an important role in our lives.

“By introducing next-generation firewalls and SIEM technology, we have continuously ensured our market uniqueness. The initial network and SIEM engineers were soon joined by the Information Security Advisory Team, and in a further milestone we expanded our security monitoring solutions with SOAR systems, and our international activities have also expanded notably.” – Balázs Imre

We successfully entered the NATO’s supplier network, where we have been acting as a qualified NATO supplier in various projects ever since.
We are constantly developing and applying the latest technologies to meet market needs In 2020, we founded a subsidiary, SOCWISE, with the main objective of selling our managed services portfolio in domestic and international markets.
